How do I connect Apple Calendar or iCloud to Kilevo?
Apple Calendar connects to Kilevo through an iCalendar link: you make the calendar public from your Mac, you copy its link, and Kilevo reads it like any other calendar. You choose which calendar to share; the rest of your iCloud is not involved.
- On your Mac, open the Calendar app.
- Right-click the calendar to track, then Share Calendar…
- Check Public Calendar and copy the link that starts with webcal:// or https://. The same setting exists on iCloud.com, in a calendar's sharing options.
- In Kilevo, open Settings, My calendars, then ICS link / other.
- In the Calendar Link (Recommended) tab, enter a Calendar Name, paste the link into Paste your calendar link and click Connect this calendar. Kilevo immediately checks that the link responds and contains a calendar.
- Check the calendar under Tracked calendars, set Sync from: and click Save and sync.
A webcal:// link is accepted as is. Your appointments with an address become trips, just as with Google or Outlook, and recurring appointments are expanded over the period.
The link is read-only: Kilevo cannot change anything in your Apple calendar. The illustrated walkthrough is on the Apple Calendar and iCalendar page.
