Calendar sync

Your calendar already knows where you drove. Kilevo reads it instead of asking you to type it all again.

What a sync actually does

For every appointment in the period, Kilevo reads the location field. If it holds an address, a trip is created from your default address to that location, as a round trip. The meeting title becomes the business purpose. The distance comes from Google Maps.

An appointment with no location produces no trip. A video call, a blocked-off hour, a reminder: nothing is created.

Every night, without thinking about it

On a paid plan, Kilevo syncs your calendars every night. Yesterday's trips are waiting in the morning; all that is left is to check them.

You can also run a sync yourself at any time: before filing, or after fixing an address in your calendar. On the free plan, syncing happens on demand only. What we read and what we keep is spelled out on the security and privacy page.

Your edits survive

Change the vehicle, the starting point, the destination or the purpose of a trip, and those fields are locked. Later syncs will not overwrite them.

Dates and times are always taken from the calendar: move a meeting and the trip follows. A trip you delete never comes back.

Catching up on a past year

This is what most people use Kilevo for first. Pick an import start date — January 1 of last year, say — and your past meetings become trips. A full year of mileage log, in minutes.

Write complete addresses

This is the one thing Kilevo asks of you, and everything else depends on it.

A location written « 120 Main Street », with no city and no ZIP, is ambiguous: hundreds of towns have one. Google picks a Main Street, sometimes across the country, and the mileage is nonsense.

Add the city or the ZIP code in the calendar's location field — « 120 Main Street, Boulder CO 80302 » — and the math is right. If a distance still looks wrong, correct it: your corrected address is kept.

Several calendars, one log

You choose which calendars count. The work calendar, the CRM feed, the team calendar. Personal appointments stay out unless you select their calendar.

And when a work meeting is not a deductible drive, you exclude it with one click. It stays visible; it stops counting.
