Can Kilevo change anything in my calendar?
No, Kilevo cannot change your calendar: the access requested is read-only, with Google as with Microsoft, and an ICS link is by nature a read link. Kilevo has no write rights, so nothing can be created, moved or deleted in your calendars.
- With Google, Kilevo only asks for read permissions on calendars and events. The authorization screen shows you this when you connect.
- With Microsoft, the permission is read access to the calendars.
- For Apple Calendar, iCloud or scheduling software, you paste a read-only sharing link that Kilevo simply reads again.
Everything you do in Kilevo stays in Kilevo: excluding a trip, fixing an address, changing the vehicle or deleting a trip never touches the original appointment. The connection window says it plainly: We only access your appointments in read-only mode to calculate your mileage. We never modify your calendars.
The access tokens issued by Google and Microsoft are stored encrypted. You can withdraw the authorization at any time, from Kilevo with Disconnect or from the security settings of your Google or Microsoft account. See the security and privacy page.
