Can I use several vehicles or switch cars mid-year?

You can register as many vehicles as you want in Kilevo, and each trip carries its own: the miles are tracked vehicle by vehicle, and the IRS standard mileage rate of the trip type is applied to each of them.

If you change cars during the year:

1. Open Settings, My vehicles, then + Add a vehicle for the new car.
2. Check Set as default vehicle: the next synced or dictated trips will be attached to it. The star in front of each vehicle in the list also lets you change the default vehicle at any time.
3. Keep the old vehicle in the list: the trips already driven with it stay attached to it, with their own miles.

To fix the vehicle of a specific trip, expand the trip and change the Vehicle field. This edit is locked: the next calendar sync does not overwrite it.

The calculation details link shows one card per vehicle, with its total miles and its amount, and the PDF mileage log totals the year in its Summary by trip type.

Since the rate is the same per mile for every vehicle, switching cars does not change your total for the year: 4,000 business miles in the old car and 4,000 in the new one give the same amount as 8,000 in a single car. Kilevo keeps the history of each vehicle so that your mileage log stays complete.
