How do I add a vehicle in Kilevo?

Adding a vehicle takes a minute: open Settings, then My vehicles, and fill in the make, model, type and fuel. In the United States the IRS standard mileage rate is the same for every vehicle, so what decides your mileage reimbursement is the type of each trip, business or charitable.

1. Click Settings, at the top right or in the bottom bar, then My vehicles.
2. Click + Add a vehicle.
3. Enter the Make and the Model, then the Type (Car, Moto or Moped) and the Fuel (Petrol, Diesel, Hybrid or Electric).
4. Enter a whole number in Taxed power. This field exists for countries whose rate depends on engine power; in the United States it does not change your amount, so your engine's horsepower or simply 0 will do. The License Plate is optional.
5. Click Save.

Your first vehicle automatically becomes the default vehicle: it is the one Kilevo attaches to trips synced from your calendar and to dictated trips. On each trip, you can then pick another vehicle in the Vehicle field.

The setting that matters for the IRS is the trip type. In Settings, Default trip type is set to Business; a volunteer drive can be switched to Charitable in the Type field of the trip details. The rates are on the IRS standard mileage rate 2026 page.
